Experience one of the world’s most sacred pilgrimages with the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Overland Route from Kathmandu. This divine expedition takes you through the majestic Himalayas, the Tibetan plateau, the holy Lake Mansarovar, and the revered Mount Kailash, believed to be the spiritual center of the universe and the abode of Lord Shiva.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to the hotel.
Relax and prepare for the sacred journey ahead.

Overnight Stay: Hotel in Kathmandu

Day 02: Pashupatinath Darshan & Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit the famous:

• Pashupatinath Temple
• Guheshwari Devi Temple (Shakti Peeth)
• Jal Narayan Temple

Return to the hotel for lunch and rest.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Dhunche / Syabrubesi / Timure

Drive through scenic Himalayan roads towards the Nepal–China border region.

• Dhunche – 127 km / 6 hrs
• Syabrubesi – 141 km / 7 hrs
• Timure – 152 km / 8 hrs

Overnight Stay: Guesthouse / Hotel

Day 04: Drive to Kerung County (Tibet)

After breakfast, proceed to Rasuwagadhi border and complete Nepal & China immigration formalities. Cross into Tibet and drive to Kerung County (2850m).

Day 05: Acclimatization Day at Kerung

A free day to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude before continuing the yatra.

Day 06: Kerung – Saga

Drive through the breathtaking Tibetan plateau towards Saga.

Highlights:

• Lalung La Pass (5300m)
• Views of Mt. Shishapangma (8000m)
• Brahmaputra River
• Vast Tibetan landscapes

Day 07: Saga – Holy Mansarovar Lake

Drive to the sacred Lake Mansarovar, one of the holiest lakes in Hinduism and Buddhism.

• Collect holy water
• Enjoy the divine surroundings
• Half-day Mansarovar Parikrama by vehicle

Overnight Stay: Mansarovar Guesthouse

Day 08: Mansarovar – Darchen

Spend the morning performing spiritual rituals and puja at Mansarovar Lake.

After lunch:

• Complete the remaining Mansarovar Parikrama
• Drive to Darchen, the base camp for Kailash Parikrama

Overnight Stay: Darchen

Day 09: First Day of Kailash Parikrama – Dirapuk

Drive to Tarboche and visit Yama Dwar, the starting point of the sacred Kailash Kora.

Trek approximately 12 km (5–6 hrs) to Dirapuk (4950m) while witnessing the majestic North Face of Mount Kailash.

Pilgrims not undertaking the trek may return to Darchen and wait for the group.

Day 10: Second Day of Kailash Parikrama – Zuthulphuk

The most challenging and spiritually significant day of the yatra.

• Trek via Dolma La Pass (5750m)
• Continue towards Zuthulphuk

Distance: Approx. 22 km trek (10–12 hrs)

Overnight Stay: Zuthulphuk Guesthouse

Day 11: Complete Parikrama & Drive to Saga

Short trek of 8 km to the endpoint where vehicles await.

Drive back to Darchen and continue towards Saga.

Overnight Stay: Saga

Day 12: Saga – Kerung

After breakfast, drive back to Kerung County.

Overnight Stay: Guesthouse in Kerung

Day 13: Kerung – Kathmandu

Drive back to the Nepal border, complete immigration formalities, and continue to Kathmandu.

Approximate drive time: 7–8 hrs

Overnight Stay: Kathmandu

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu Airport according to your flight schedule with blessings and unforgettable memories of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
